This advocacy tool is designed to accompany the 2021 RCRC Issue Briefs which highlight five key issues areas critical to the resilience of children within the context of disasters, including COVID-19. The issue briefs are designed to be used by the RCRC communities and all other American constituencies seeking to elevate children’s disaster resilience to the attention of local, state, and federal legislators or other decision-makers. These reports can also be used by legislators and decision–makers at all levels as informative briefs to better understand the issues faced by communities in disasters. This guide aims to assist communities in their own advocacy efforts by utilizing the RCRC Issues Briefs as supportive information for the greatest impact.
